REAL ESTATE INVESTMENTS IN ITALY, A GREAT BUSINESS OCCASION
Buying property in Italy can represent a great investment opportunity not only for individuals, but also for large international groups in the real estate sector.
Italy is in fact one of the main markets for the tourism industry: according to the latest data, about 50 million visitors come to the Bel Paese every year, which contributes to placing Italy in fifth place in the international rankings of the countries with greater tourist appeal.
It is not surprising, therefore, that thanks to the important potential of the Italian market, the attention of new foreign investors has been pinned on the Bel Paese for some time now.
The Sovereign Fund of Azerbaijan, for example, took over Palazzo Turati in Milan, while the two Russian brothers Musa and Dani Bazhaev acquired in 2014 for 180 million euro Forte Village in Sardinia (770 rooms, 33 suites, wellness center, repeatedly awarded as the best resort in the world).
A strong interest in investing in Italy was also recorded by Turkey with the purchase by the entrepreneur Ferit Faik Sahenk of the Hotel Aldrovandi, a historic five-star hotel in Rome.
The Chinese entrepreneur Guo Guangchang, on the other hand, has recently taken over Palazzo Broggi in Milan for around 345 million euros.
Among the Gulf countries, a key role has been played by Qatar which, through Katara Hospitality (a "Hotels & Accomodation" company owned 100% by the royal family of Doha), has concluded the purchase of the well-known Milanese hotel Gallia, an architectural jewel dating back to the early twentieth century now restored to its former glory.
Also in Qatar, in addition to already controlling numerous hotel complexes on the Costa Smeralda in Sardinia and having acquired the Roman building in Piazza di Spagna where the new Valentino brand ateliers are currently located, it has recently entered Milan in the real estate development project "Porta Nuova ", one of the most prestigious urban redevelopment plans in Europe.
Italy, for the extraordinary variety of its landscape heritage as well as urban and architectural, therefore represents an exceptional investment opportunity that awaits to be fully discovered and enhanced.
